about
I’m excited to get you whatever you need to help make your story the best it can be.
A friendly neighborhood storyteller from early childhood, I have been spinning yarns and creating characters since I was a wee lad. The voiceover bug bit me years ago when I was asked to lend the voice of Bob Cratchit to a talking Christmas ornament. After standing in a booth for twenty minutes saying various versions of “Merry Christmas, Mr. Scrooge!” - I knew I had to do more of this. My read for the Ghost of Christmas Past, however, was met with, “Dude, that’s incredible. But, it’s WAY too scary for a Christmas ornament.” Point well taken.
Fast forward to today, and I have had the privilege to lend my voice to products, narration, and a vast host of characters, including a ninja, a dandy swordsman, a radical surfer pig, an infernal dark knight, an Australian platypus, the Big Bad Wolf, and Hanzo, head of the Shadow Faction of the Akakage, wielder of the sacred blade Ame no Habakiri. And, of course, Bob Cratchit.
I have a passion for telling good stories
And it’s an incredible joy and privilege to do so. My school training (starting in 9th grade) and background are in acting and theater, and I spent many, many years here in Hollywood rehearsing and performing in shows at the Actor’s Co-op, honing accents, creating characters, and even understudied two roles at the renowned Mark Taper Forum, so clients find me infinitely directible, and easy to work with.
As a casual gamer, you can often find me next to my kids, playing Breath of the Wild, Horizon Zero Dawn, Diablo 2, Final Fantasy, or anything created by Insomniac Games. I’m a massive fan of the 80’s, so around our house you also hear a lot of Duran Duran, Foreigner, The Police, Van Halen, Journey, Def Leppard…well, you get the picture.
In addition, I’ve spent the last 25 years telling stories as a television editor, breathing life into tales from DreamWorks, NBC, Blizzard, Universal, ABC, Warner Brothers, FOX, and many, many others. My editing experiences have made me a much better voice actor, as I have had to create and use countless VO's in my daily work, providing me with the knowledge of how it needs to be used and why variety and direction matter.
From my years in the business, I’ve also learned to leave my ego out of the work, and serve the story to the best of my ability. With me, there’s zero drama and an atmosphere of fun and excitement. Because I absolutely love doing what I do, and I work hard to chase my dreams with honesty, integrity, and curiosity, and I teach my kids to do the same. Combine that with three years of training from industry expert Nancy Wolfson, and you have a force to be reckoned with.
